Ptosis

Ptosis is a condition causing a drooping of the upper eyelid. It can be caused by a dysfunction in the muscles that control the eyelid, nerve abnormality or trauma. If diagnosed in children, it should be treated early to avoid problems with vision development. Mild ptosis can occur naturally with aging.
